Framework Occupational Therapy aims to provide our clients with skills for the job of living – those necessary to function in the community, at home or at work. The Occupational Therapist works with the adult/senior to facilitate enjoyment and participation in activities of daily living that have personal meaning and value.

Various health events can pose as barriers to participation in daily activities. Occupational Therapists support a person to:

  • Identify areas of risk/need

  • Fall prevention education

  • Memory rehabilitation, retention (ie medication schedules, medical appts, life skills, social and community participation)

  • Learn new ways of doing things

  • Regain skills and/or develop new ones

  • Use materials or equipment to maintain or resume independence

  • Adapt the environment

Occupational Therapists support clients who may be:

  • Recovering from injury or illness, chronic conditions, grief or loss

  • Changing in physical abilities and/or neurocognitive changes due to aging
